Presidency University to Host RJ Hunt Prelims at PALIMPSEST 2026 in Collaboration with Radio City 91.1 FM

Presidency University is set to host the RJ Hunt Prelims during its main event PALIMPSEST 2026 - Liberal Arts & Sciences Conclave which enables students to experience radio broadcasting. 

The Speakers and Anchors Club together with Radio City 91.1 FM will create an event that starts on April 15 2026 at 2 30 PM and ends at 4 15 PM which will take place on campus. 

A Platform For Emerging On-Air Talent 

The RJ Hunt Prelims competition allows students to demonstrate their natural abilities through their speaking skills and their creative thinking and on-air presentation skills. 

  • They participants will have the do the following: 
  • They need to speak without using scripts or prepared roles. 
  • They must deliver authentic content which will engage their audience. 
  • They must use a professional tone which matches the requirements of live radio broadcasting. 
  • They have to convey their messages through short time periods. 

The format requires participants to showcase their talent and skills through real-world radio simulation which requires them to show clear communication skills and their ability to handle situations under time pressure. 

Opportunity to Go Live on Radio

The Opportunity provides participants with the chance to broadcast live radio content. The event will allow top performers to host a live campus segment on Radio City 91.1 FM which represents one of its major highlights. 

The hands-on experience allows students to learn in real-time. Here's how:
