The School of Law at AURO University's IPR Cell will host the National Intellectual Property Strategy Competition (IP STRATAGEM 2026) on July 10, 2026, where students from all over the country will showcase their legal reasoning, strategic thinking, and problem-solving abilities in the realm of Intellectual Property (IP).
The competition is conceived as a learning environment where the participants are asked to challenge themselves to think about the disputes regarding IP ownership in a similar way as legal professionals and IP strategists do. Students will be expected to discuss complex issues relating to IP, consider critical legal issues, and propose creative solutions through drafting and strategic presentation.
The competition is open to undergraduate and postgraduate students of all academic disciplines and allows for interdisciplinary participation and aims to increase awareness of intellectual property rights (patents, trademarks, copyrights and other laws).
Teams of two or three students from the same institution will compete in 2 stages according to the organisers. The first phase will be a Drafting Round, where in which participants will draft legal and strategic answers to a problem provided. Shortlisted teams will then proceed to the Strategy Presentation Round, then to a Question and Answer session with an expert judging panel.
The event will be held in hybrid format, meaning it will be available online and in person. The competition will be open for registration until 30 June 2026.
The program underscores AURO University's commitment to fostering practical learning experiences outside the classroom for its students and to raise awareness about intellectual property rights and innovation management.
IP is growing in importance in business, technology, research and entrepreneurship and competitions like IP STRATAGEM 2026 provide students with useful insight into the practical legal and strategic issues that they encounter.
The competition is being organized by the IPR Cell of School of Law with Ms. Arpita Yadav, Assistant Professor as Faculty Coordinator. The organisers are expecting students from various educational backgrounds and institutes to participate from all over India.
