Chandigarh University Hosts 3rd Bharat Higher Education Summit 2026; 200+ Vice Chancellors and Education Leaders Discuss Viksit Bharat 2047

Chandigarh University, in collaboration with the Confederation of Indian Private Universities (CIPU), successfully hosted the 3rd Bharat Higher Education Summit 2026, bringing together more than 200 Vice Chancellors, policymakers, industry leaders, and global education experts to discuss the future of higher education in India and its role in achieving the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047.

As India's higher education sector continues to evolve, the summit served as an important platform for discussions on innovation, research, skill development, and the role of universities in building a developed nation.

The event highlighted the growing importance of higher education institutions in preparing students for future opportunities while contributing to India's social, economic, and technological progress.

A major highlight of the summit was the presence of Mr. Anurag Thakur, Former Union Minister for Information & Broadcasting and Member of Parliament, who attended the event as the Chief Guest.

Addressing the gathering, Mr. Thakur shared his views on India's vision of becoming a Vishwa Guru in higher education. He emphasized the need to combine India's rich knowledge traditions with modern technologies to create a strong and future-ready education system.
