Adamas University, Kolkata, in association with the Indian Museum, is hosting a highly interactive session titled ‘Vikshit Bharat: History, Heritage and the Way Ahead’ which will examine the contribution of a rich and glorious cultural heritage to an evolved and developed nation like India. The event will take place from 3.00 PM onwards on 10th July 2026 at Indian Museum, Kolkata in Exhibition Space (Hall 2).
It will feature leading speakers from academia, heritage and public service, who will speak on the history, heritage and future of India.
The Chief Guest of the event in Kolkata will be Mr Thierry Morel, Hon'ble Consul General of France. Among other dignitaries are Prof. (Dr.) Samit Ray, Hon'ble Chancellor of Adamas University, Prof. Aloke Ghosh, Trustee, Indian Museum, Kolkata, Mr. G. M. Kapur, Director, INTACH Conservation Institute and Professor Suranjan Das, Hon'ble Vice Chancellor of Adamas University, and Dr. Sayan Bhattacharya, Director, Indian Museum, Kolkata.
One of the focal points of the programme will be the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Adamas University and the Indian Museum, Kolkata with a view to furthering cooperation in the field of Heritage and Museum Studies.
Class 12 students, new to the class 12, undergraduate students and high school Social Science teachers have been invited for the interactive session by the organisers.
