On 17th August 2026, Techno India University hosted a unique in-person session with STEM prodigy Soborno Isaac Bari and Executive Director & Chief Innovation Officer at Techno India Group & Techno India University, Meghdut Roy Chowdhury, as the Global Speaker.

The session was conducted in the TIU Seminar Hall (Ground Floor) at 3.30 PM and the theme of the session was Science, Ambition, Innovation with young minds encouraged to think outside the box.

The conversation brought forth  two different perspectives on science, education and innovation. Soborno Isaac Bari shared his views as a young learner and a science and mathematics enthusiast, who was recognised for his pre-teen years of success in science and mathematics and as a young global speaker.

He was accompanied by Meghdut RoyChowdhury – Executive Director and Chief Innovation Officer, Techno India Group and Techno India University who interacted on the importance of curiosity, ambition and innovative thinking in defining the future.

The session focused on the concept and the opportunities to question orthodox ideas, and following their interests, young students can make contributions to scientific and technological advances. The interaction also underscored the need for academic settings that foster students' vision to transcend boundaries traditionally set by their discipline or subject and explore how science and innovation can help address emerging challenges.

It was an opportunity for the students and members of the university community to join a discussion on the relationship between STEM Education, Innovation, ambition and the future. The offline session was in line with Techno India University's attempts to give a chance to the students to interact with people working and contributing to the bigger world of science, technology and innovation.

The event on August 17 brought together the entire University community to discuss and share, with the young minds and their potential at the center of the discussion, reinforcing the concept that curiosity and a spirit of openness to new possibilities can make a difference in the future of the scientific and technological world.
