About the University

JUIT was established through a collaborative initiative between the Himachal Pradesh Government and Jaypee Group under Act No. 14 of 2002. Operational since July 2002, JUIT is UGC-approved, a proud member of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU), and enjoys prestigious accreditations and international linkages.​

    • Up to 50% waiver in M.Sc tuition fees for 10 meritorious candidates per program
    • Merit-based scholarships up to 40% tuition fee for selected undergraduate programs.

Eligibility Criteria

  • B.Tech: 10+2(PCM) with at least 60% marks; admission through JEE Main or based on merit.
  • M.Tech: Bachelor’s degree in the relevant discipline with 60% marks (55% for SC/ST); GATE, PGET or CUET-PG qualified.
  • MSc: This requires a bachelor's degree in science with prescribed marks. For PhD, a master's in the relevant field is necessary.​

Admission Procedure

  • Online Application: Go to the website of JUIT, fill the online form.
  • Entrance Exam: Appear for JEE Main, GAHET, GCSET, GATE, CUET-PG or university-conducted entrance.
  • Counselling & Document Verification: Attend the counselling for seat allotment.
  • Final Admission: deposit required fees and confirm seat.​
