Rayat Bahra University Hosts Expert Talk on Cyber Security and Digital Hygiene under TRAI Outreach Program

The highly engaging Expert Talk on Cyber Security & Digital Hygiene, under the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India's Consumer Outreach Program in association with the Comptroller and Auditor General, was organized by the Department of Commerce at Rayat Bahra University. The event equipped students with essential skills needed for safe navigation in the digital world due to growing cyber threats.

The session started with the lighting of the traditional lamp, welcoming dignitaries from TRAI, CAG, and RBU leadership. Keynote speaker Shri Jai Prakash from TRAI Jaipur outlined key initiatives that would promote digital responsibility and set the tenor for practical discussions on online safety.

Expert speakers provided in-depth insights: Shri Amit Prakash Garg, TRAI Jaipur, spoke on consumer grievance mechanisms, telecom fraud combating strategies, and best practices for digital hygiene. Shri Rajeev Sharma of Punjab LSA spoke on telecom compliance, EMF safety-related concerns, and real-world cyber fraud case studies, emphasizing proactive prevention.

Interactive quizzes and Q&A sessions by Shri Satvik Lavaniya kept the students deeply engaged, with hands-on experience encouraged. Certificates were provided to participants, attesting to their involvement and dedication to digital awareness.

RBU's move underlines its emphasis on integrating commerce education with contemporary skills such as cybersecurity, readying its students for a technology-based job market. The conclave aimed to transform the participants into responsible digital citizens, securing them against fraud and ensuring safe online behavior.
