Parul University Celebrates Republic Day 2026 Lead by Lt Gen Shokin Chauhan (Retd)

Parul University observed Republic Day 2026 with a patriotic campus event, which was further enhanced by the presence of decorated military veteran Lt. General Shokin Chauhan (Retd.) PVSM, AVSM, YSM, SM, VSM. As the former Director General of Assam Rifles, he participated in flag hoisting and a disciplined march past with the students, symbolizing duty, unity, and service to the nation.

Lt Gen Shokin Chauhan: A Lifetime of Leadership

Lt. General Shokin Chauhan (Retd.), the recipient of Param Vishisht Seva Medal (PVSM), Ati Vishisht Seva Medal (AVSM), Yudh Seva Medal (YSM), Sena Medal (SM), and Vishist Seva Medal (VSM) brought decades of military insight to the event. His achievements in the field of work were when he commanded Assam Rifles in key missions, and the kind of discipline and commitment he demonstrated to India. Throughout the event, his speech moved students and reminded them of the dedication and bravery that national service should have throughout the generations.​
