Galgotias University Teams Shine at Global EDVentures 2026; Student Startups Receive Support from INR 10 Crore Innovation Fund

Galgotias University celebrated a significant achievement in innovation and entrepreneurship as its student teams earned international recognition at Global EDVentures 2026, a prestigious global startup and innovation competition held in Hong Kong.

Representing India on the international stage, two student teams from Galgotias University competed against 19 teams from 10 countries, showcasing innovative solutions designed to address real-world challenges through technology and entrepreneurship.

Among the standout performers was Project TACTO, which emerged as the overall winner of Global EDVentures 2026 and also received the AWS Championship Prize. The project was developed by students Gaurang Pant, Shristi Mandoliya, and Kavya Singh, and focuses on a tactile learning solution aimed at improving educational accessibility for visually impaired learners. The recognition highlights the growing role of inclusive technology in transforming learning experiences for individuals with disabilities.

Another student-led venture, Tekurious Pvt. Limited, was recognised among the global finalists for its innovative virtual reality-based immersive learning platform. The team, represented by Akash Kumar, Yash Vardhan G, and Anoop Maurya, presented a technology-driven approach to enhancing education through immersive and interactive learning environments.

In recognition of the students' entrepreneurial efforts and innovative ideas, Galgotias University also announced financial support through its INR 10 crore Galgotias Innovation Fund. The university selected CarbonSync, Agri Rover, and Project TACTO for funding assistance, reinforcing its commitment to nurturing student-led startups and promoting a culture of innovation on campus.

The achievement reflects Galgotias University's continued focus on entrepreneurship, research, and technology-driven problem-solving. By supporting student innovators through mentorship, global exposure, and funding opportunities, the university aims to encourage the development of impactful solutions with real-world applications.
