CUTM, CQAI Formalise Partnership to Advance Quantum Technology, Research and Talent Development

Centurion University of Technology and Management (CUTM) and CQAI have formalised a partnership aimed at strengthening collaboration in quantum technology, emerging technologies, research, innovation and talent development. The  Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed in the CUTM-CQAI Conclave, bridging the gap between discussions and collective capability-building efforts.

The CUTM-CQAI Conclave brought together perspectives from academia, industry, research and entrepreneurship around technologies and capabilities expected to shape the future technology ecosystem.. At the conclave, deliberations were held on various issues such as quantum technology, emerging technologies, research, innovation and talent development.

The event focused on how academic knowledge and institutional capabilities could be translated into practical initiatives. The formal collaboration among CUTM and CQAI was introduced as the next phase of this collaboration. The conclave ended with the signing of Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between CQAI and CUTM. The agreement sets out a framework for the development of the partnership on the basis of capability building and outcomes, the information shared by CQAI said.

CQAI singled out the importance of CUTM's involvement in quantum technology and their desire to build new skills beyond the traditional academic frame. One point of interest that was identified in the collaboration was the project of Quantum Software Development.

This partnership follows a trend of increased interest in Quantum Technology and other emerging technologies, where institutions aim to enhance their research and talent capacities in this field.

The CUTM-CQAI partnership aims to combine the institutional and technical resources to create programmes related to new technology and innovation. The information provided through CQAI suggests that the partnership is not just a typical industry-academy partnership but one that will enable the development of capabilities and produce future impact.

The partnership also has a geographical aspect, CQAI pointing out a linkage between Kashmir Valley and Amaravati Quantum Valley. It is envisaged that the partnership is an initiative to link the strengths in the region with the overall national agenda of technology, innovation and self-reliance.

The partnership will now progress to the implementation stage, as per the organisation, the focus will now turn to bringing the framework agreed under the MoU to fruition in terms of projects and capacities.

The signing of the MoU is the formal start of the collaboration between CUTM and CQAI. The following steps will be to create the roadmap and to transform the partnership's set goals on quantum technology, research, innovation and talent development into initiatives and results.
