Applications are being accepted for the 2025 Winter Internship Program at IIT Bhubaneswar. Under the guidance of staff members from IIT Bhubaneswar, this initiative would give students from various educational institutions around the nation practical research experience on accessible topics.
The internship will be for 3 to 4 weeks at IIT Bhubaneswar during the winter vacation.
Eligibility
All students pursuing any degree program from any recognized educational institution in India will be eligible to apply. This internship will be offered in the following disciplines:
- Basic Sciences
- Earth, Ocean, and Climate Sciences
- Electrical and Computer Sciences
- Infrastructure
- Mechanical Sciences
- Humanities, Social Sciences, and Management
- Minerals, Metallurgical, and Materials Engineering
Duration of the internship
The internship will be for 3 to 4 weeks at the Institute during the winter vacation. Students who go through this program will receive a certificate of recognition.
Application Process
The online application will be received only through the website of IIT Bhubaneswar. Applications through email or offline will not be considered. The last date for application to be submitted is November 6, 2025.
Selection Process
All applications will be pre-screened by the respective school or department. The applications will then be reviewed by a selection committee. Only a list of selected candidates will be notified through email and also published on the Institute's website. Candidates not selected will not be informed individually.
Accommodation and Facilities
Where available and at a fee, selected interns may be accommodated on campus.
Food and other necessary expenses are to be taken care of by the students themselves.
Interns will be issued with temporary identification cards that accord them access to the library, internet, and other institutional facilities.
Fellowship and Rules
Depending on the funds available for the project, a fellowship stipend may be provided by the supervisor. The students shall follow all rules and regulations of the Institute during the period of internship.
