The Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University is launching a four-year BMS course for 2026 - 27. Only 60 students will be admitted each year through the indian Institute of packaging. The programme expands undergraduate options with a clear focus on management education. Admissions rely on the university's CET, which evaluates core competencies.

Students must take the university's Common Entrance Test to qualify. Their CUET UG results are reviewed alongside test performance. The selection process balances both entrance exam outcomes and academic background. Admission criteria remain transparent and consistent across applicants. Final placement depends on combined CET and CUET scores. IPU has maintained a dual admission pathway, where seats unfilled through CET will be allocated based on CUET merit. To be eligible, candidates must have passed Class 12 with at least 50% marks and English as a subject.

The BMS programme launch is against the background of increasing demand for management education at the bachelor's degree level, with multiple universities across the country already running these types of programs. The decision of IPU indicates an intent to sync academic offerings with industry trends and student choices.

The university had ushered in its admissions process for the 202627 academic session on January 28 by publication of its undergraduate, postgraduate, and PhD programmes. The university with more than 43,000 seats in 130+ affiliated colleges and

schools IPU remains one of the biggest state universities of the country. Alongside BMS, IPU got 24 more courses this year which show that the university is definitely growing in academic terms. Introduction of such programs as MTech in Robotics and Artificial Intelligence, BTech in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, and MA in Mass Communication (Weekend Programme) clearly indicate a move towards meeting the current industry standards. Besides, others developments at IPU have included the expansion of academic disciplines for example clinical psychology, industrial chemistry, physiotherapy as well as teacher education.

Such growth accentuates the emphasis of IPU on education that equips students for the future combining aspects of technology, healthcare, and management to fulfill the changing needs of the market. By introducing modern courses and providing various admission methods, the university intends not only to draw a wide range of students but also to bolster its academic offerings.
