ISRO ISTRAC Recruitment 2026: Applications open for 26 technical and scientific posts across India, apply by July 20

The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has invited online applications for 26 vacancies under the ISRO Telemetry, Tracking and Command Network (ISTRAC) Recruitment 2026. The recruitment drive, announced through Advertisement No. ISTRAC:02:2026, offers opportunities for candidates across technical, scientific, library, drafting and support services, with applications open from June 27 to July 20, 2026.

Selected candidates may be posted at ISTRAC or other ISRO centres across India, depending on organisational and project requirements. The recruitment is aimed at strengthening the workforce that supports ISRO's satellite tracking, telemetry and mission operations.

The vacancies include Technical Assistant, Scientific Assistant, Library Assistant-A, Technician-B, Draughtsman-B, and Cook-A posts. Among the available positions, Technician-B (Electronics Mechanic) has the highest number of openings with eight vacancies, followed by Technical Assistant (Electronics) with six vacancies and Scientific Assistant (Computer Science) with four vacancies. Additional posts are available in Mechanical, Civil, Mathematics, Library Science, Carpentry and Catering.

Candidates with qualifications ranging from Class 10 (SSLC) with ITI certification to First Class B.Sc. degrees and Master's degrees in Library Science are eligible to apply, depending on the post. The prescribed age limit is 18 to 35 years, with relaxation for candidates belonging to reserved categories as per Government of India rules.

The selected candidates will receive salaries under the 7th Central Pay Commission (CPC), with pay scales ranging from ₹19,900 to ₹44,900 based on the post and pay level.

The application fee is ₹750 for Technical Assistant and Scientific Assistant posts, while candidates applying for Technician-B, Draughtsman-B and Cook-A posts are required to pay ₹500. ISRO has stated that the processing fee will be refunded to eligible candidates who appear for the written or computer-based examination.

The recruitment process includes a written or computer-based test, followed by a skill test for applicable posts, document verification, and a medical examination.
