Uttaranchal University Celebrates Global Academic Excellence at 7th International Convocation 2026

Uttaranchal University marked a significant milestone in its global education journey with the successful celebration of its 7th International Convocation, held on June 26, 2026. The ceremony was in recognition of 35 international graduates from countries all over Asia and Africa, who are a testament to the university's international expansion and dedication to offering quality higher education to students from all over the world.

The students from Liberia, Nepal, Tanzania, Malawi, Nigeria, Zimbabwe, Myanmar, Namibia, South Sudan and Swaziland were awarded degrees at the convocation, not only for their academic excellence, but for their cultural diversity in the university campus.

Chancellor Shri Jitendra Joshi, as the Chief Guest, presided over the convocation ceremony, which was attended by Mrs Anuradha Joshi as Guest of Honour. The university congratulated the graduates and wished them success in the future, urging them to uphold the principles of knowledge, integrity, and excellence in their professional lives.

The highlight of the ceremony was the award of the Gold Medal to Ahmed Ayuba Dawa, a student from Nigeria in the Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Technology programme. The feat was a reflection of the academic commitment and hard work of international students studying in India.
