The Edugild Innovation Foundation and E-Cell at Avantika University conducted an induction programme for first-year B.Des students from the School of Design, introducing them to innovation, entrepreneurship and startup building.
The session was aimed at encouraging students to think beyond conventional ideas and explore how creative concepts can be developed into innovations and potential business opportunities. It also introduced students to the university's innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem and the activities through which they can engage with it.
Students were introduced to the Edugild Innovation Foundation, followed by a briefing about the E-Cell team. The E-Cell Hiring Form was also launched, giving students an opportunity to explore ways to get involved with the entrepreneurship cell.
The programme also recognised students who had volunteered for previous initiatives. Certificates were distributed to volunteers who participated in Startup Showdown 2026 and Innovision 2026.
A key focus of the induction was encouraging students to look beyond simply generating ideas and consider how those concepts could be developed into innovations and potential startups. The interaction introduced the design students to the connection between creativity, innovation and entrepreneurship.
The session also gave the new B.Des cohort an opportunity to learn about entrepreneurship initiatives at Avantika University and explore ways to engage with the E-Cell and wider innovation ecosystem during their university journey.
