JECRC HackQuest 9.0: SIH 2026 Prelims Set to Bring 3,150 Students Together in Jaipur

JECRC University is set to host JECRC HackQuest 9.0, the preliminary round of Smart India Hackathon 2026, on September 5 and 6, bringing student teams together to work on real-world problem statements. The event is anticipated to make the JECRC campuses in Jaipur a two-day hub of innovation and problem-solving, where students will be presented with challenges and create technology-based solutions through the hackathon. The Smart India Hackathon is a Government of India initiative that gives students a platform to work on pressing real-world problems and encourages innovation and problem-solving.

JECRC HackQuest 9.0 Sees Strong Student Response

JECRC’s official announcement states that 525 teams and 3150 student participants registered for JECRC HackQuest 9.0 and over 100 real world problems were listed for the student participants to solve. The registration window was reportedly opened and closed within 4 hours, indicating the interest of the students in the innovation and hackathon programme.

The event will be held at JECRC campuses on 5th-6th September, 2026. Participants will be working in teams to grasp problem statements, generate ideas and construct solutions that will solve real-world problems.

JECRC to Host Smart India Hackathon 2026 Prelims

JECRC HackQuest 9.0 is the preliminary round of Smart India Hackathon 2026 at JECRC. JECRC University has also been the host of Smart India Hackathon activities in the past, and the university has stated that its campus is a part of the student innovation ecosystem of India.

The next event will allow students who are participating to practice their technical skills outside of the classroom and to collaborate with others in problem solving and innovation. The 36-hour hackathon is expected to bring together students interested in technology, coding, innovation and entrepreneurship. 

Smart India Hackathon Focuses on Real-World Problem Solving

Smart India Hackathon is a nationwide initiative of the Government of India that aims to inspire students to come up with solutions to real-life problems and foster a culture of innovation and problem-solving. 

Lastly, HackQuest 9.0 is a chance for JECRC students and participants to take their ideas and turn them into working solutions, and do so in a team environment.
