The Romanian Agency for Investments and Foreign Trade (ARICE), in partnership with the Ministry of Education, has announced applications for the Romania ARICE Scholarship 2026/27. This prestigious fully funded scholarship offers international students an opportunity to pursue Bachelor's, Master's, and PhD degrees at accredited state universities in Romania.
Each year, 40 scholarships are awarded to outstanding candidates from non-European Union (EU) and non-European Free Trade Association (EFTA) countries. The program aims to strengthen international academic cooperation and support talented students seeking quality higher education in Romania.
One of the major advantages of the scholarship is that there is no application fee. Selected candidates receive full tuition coverage, free accommodation, medical assistance, free local and domestic transportation, and a monthly stipend to help cover living expenses. In addition, students benefit from a free one-year Romanian language preparatory course, enabling them to study and communicate effectively in Romania.
Priority is generally given to applicants interested in fields such as Economics and Business Administration, Agricultural Sciences, Technical Sciences, and Oil and Gas studies. However, candidates from other academic disciplines may also be considered. Scholarships are available for Bachelor’s programs lasting three to six years, Master’s programs of one and a half to two years, and Doctoral studies ranging from three to five years. Programs in dental medicine, stomatology, and pharmacy are excluded.
To be eligible, applicants must be citizens of countries outside the EU and EFTA. Romanian citizens, individuals with long-term residence permits in Romania, and those who have applied for protection in Romania are not eligible.
Applicants must submit academic transcripts, diplomas, recommendation letters, a curriculum vitae, identity documents, photographs, a medical certificate, and other required forms specified by ARICE.
The final selection is made by the Ministry of Education and Research. Successful candidates will be informed by email, and results will also be published on the official ARICE website.
The application deadline for the Romania ARICE Scholarship 2026/27 is **12 June 2026**. Interested students are encouraged to apply early and carefully follow all instructions provided on the official scholarship portal.
