Class 12 board examinations will be conducted from February 23 to March 28, strictly adhering to JKBOSE passing criteria.

The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) has started the Class 12th board exams for all soft zones from today. Class 12th first exam is general English. The examination, which started at 10 am, necessitates students to bring their admit card and school ID for checking. To pass, candidates must get at least 33 marks in English, whereas elective subjects require a minimum of 36 percent overall.

Class 12 board exams will be held from February 23 to March 28, strictly following JKBOSE passing criteria. According to Greater Kashmir, 39, 226 summer zone Jammu Division students are appearing for the Class 12 exams.

JKBOSE Exam Day Guidelines

Students appearing for JKBOSE Class 12 summer zone exams should reach the exam center one hour before the scheduled start of the exam.

–Admit cards are mandatory and must be accompanied by school IDs for verification.

–The board has strictly prohibited electronic devices such as mobile phones, tablets, smartwatches, Bluetooth gadgets, and headphones inside the exam hall.

–Items like calculators, log tables, and other materials are also banned.

–Students will not be permitted to leave the hall until the exam concludes, and anyone caught cheating will be barred from continuing the test.

JKBOSE Exam Day Instructions

Candidates who are going to write the JKBOSE Class 12 summer zone exams should get to their exam centres at least one hour before the exams start.Entry cards are a must and the students need to bring the school IDs for verification.The board has made it very clear that electronic devices such as mobile phones, tablets, smartwatches, Bluetooth gadgets, and headphones will not be allowed in the exam hall.Stuff like calculators, log tables, and other materials are also not allowed.Students will not be allowed to leave the hall before the exam time, and if anyone is caught cheating, they will be disqualified from continuing the test.

JKBOSE has always been telling students to not trust unofficial websites and social media for result timings. Local papers are also saying that only the news that is released on the official JKBOSE portals should be trusted.

JKBOSE 12th Result 2025: Analysis of the Past Performances

According to some media, out of the 1, 03, 308 students who appeared for the exam this year, 77, 315 have passed, thus the overall pass percentage of the year comes to be 74.83%. The number of male students who took the exam was 51, 717 and out of these 37, 214 male students passed the exam, thus making the pass percentage of male students 71.95.

In 2024, girls outshone boys as their overall pass rate was higher, i.e. 77% versus 72% of boys. In the Arts stream, 64% of boys and 72% of girls passed the exam. In Commerce, the pass rate was 79% for boys and 90% for girls. In the Science stream, 76% of boys and 80% of girls passed their exams.
