Lucknow is all set to host a high-impact academic event on April 24, 2026, as the EdInbox Regional Higher Education Summit 2026 unfolds at the Indira Gandhi Pratishthan. This year, the summit stands out for its sharp focus on forensic science—an increasingly popular and curiosity-driven field among students. The event will run from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, bringing together education experts and senior professionals from the forensic domain.
Among the key dignitaries present as Guests of Honour will be Adarsh Kumar, Director of the Uttar Pradesh Forensic Science Laboratory, and A. K. Srivastava, its Deputy Director. Dr. Kumar, a renowned expert in forensic medicine, has been associated with All India Institute of Medical Sciences and brings nearly three decades of experience. He has also served as a medico-legal expert for the Central Bureau of Investigation and the National Human Rights Commission. Notably, he is believed to be the only scientist in the world to have received the prestigious Commonwealth Fellowship twice.
The summit will highlight how forensic science plays a crucial role in solving crimes through minute evidence—ranging from hair strands and bloodstains to saliva traces and tyre marks. Advanced techniques such as DNA profiling, toxicology, digital forensics, and fingerprint analysis have transformed investigations, enabling even decades-old cases to be reopened and resolved.
A major emphasis will be placed on simplifying these concepts for students, offering practical insights into how forensic experts collect, preserve, and analyse evidence. Discussions will also explore the challenges of presenting scientific findings effectively in courtrooms.
Senior leaders like Brajesh Pathak and Yogendra Upadhyay have been invited as chief guests. Alongside forensic-focused sessions, the summit will feature the Regional Principals’ Meet, Academic Leadership Dialogues, and School–University Connect initiatives.
Organisers believe the event will not only introduce students to emerging career paths but also foster scientific thinking and real-world problem-solving skills.
