GNA University has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Innovation Mission Punjab for enhanced cooperation in the field of innovation, entrepreneurship and experiential learning.

The partnership is intended to facilitate innovative academic activities that promote creativity, hands-on skills, and entrepreneurial thinking among students and would-be entrepreneurs. The partnership will involve workshops, seminars, orientation programmes, awareness sessions and other joint activities that will promote innovation-based learning environments.

The MoU is a joint effort to foster better linkages between industry and academia and to establish an environment that encourages entrepreneurship, startup culture, and skill development among young students, the institutions said.

The partnership is anticipated to give students more opportunities to experience real-world innovation practices, as well as to engage in entrepreneurial and problem-solving activities outside of the classroom context.

Collaborations between universities and innovation bodies are increasingly playing a significant role in academic development strategies, especially as higher education institutions in India are shifting their emphasis to employability, startup ecosystems, and innovation-driven education models.

This initiative by GNA University and Innovation Mission Punjab is in line with the increasing focus on experiential learning, youth empowerment, and entrepreneurship education in the higher education system in India.

The MoU is also anticipated to foster opportunities for structured programmes and interactive sessions for collaborative engagement between students, educators, innovators and industry stakeholders.

As entrepreneurship and innovation become increasingly significant across industries, the partnership seeks to inspire students to think practically, lead and find solutions for the changing workplace.
