The main guest of the event is Shri Sheen Kaaf Nizam, Padma Shri awardee and a noted poet and literary critic. ITM University is preparing to award him the prestigious D.Litt. (Honoris Causa) - Designate. This special degree is in honour of his amazing work in the literary world that has touched the hearts of many all across India.

His poems and critiques have had a long-lasting impact, and this award is an indication of how much the university values art and culture in addition to studies.

The CGC University announced its guest of honour of the Rising Punjab Summit 2026, Arsh Dhaliwal, the Managing Director and the visionary educational leader of the CGC University, will present a special lecture. The session will focus on leadership, future education, and building a stronger Punjab through knowledge.

The summit will be held tomorrow at the CGC University campus. Timed between 12:00 PM and 3:00 PM, on the 11th of February, 2026, Dhaliwal will be speaking about his inspirational story and how he intends to shape young minds in Punjab.

Apex University has announced UNI-TEAS 2026, the 5th International Conference on Universal Threats in Expert Applications and Solutions. This conference is set for February 17th in Jaipur, Rajasthan. The university has partnered with Springer Nature to bring researchers and experts together for this international academic event.

Major Student Fest in Eastern India

Gajajyoti-2026 is the platform of Centurion University for Student Innovation in the field of Engineering, Management, Sciences and Arts! The fest draws colleges from different states including, Odisha, Jharkhand, West Bengal and Chhattisgarh. Additionally, in this techo-fest, cash prizes and exposure to the industry is offered to students in the form of live competitions and showcasing of projects.

The event is aligned to the skill-based education model of Centurion University that includes robotics challenges, startup pitches, science quizzes, debates, fashion shows and music performances over three days at the Jatni campus near Bhubaneswar.

Registration is still open for on-spot and online participation. University officials anticipate that the campus will be home to several thousand students during the college fest– Gajajyoti 2026.

Lovely Professional University is organizing EFX LPU 2026 – Sustainable Solutions today, a national engineering competition organized by LPU School of Mechanical Engineering and the American Society of Mechanical Engineers. The competition provides ₹60,000 in cash prizes to student teams with innovative solutions for sustainability in India.

Event Details

The event is held today at LPU's main campus at 10 AM. Engineering students from all over India participated in the competition involving technical tasks related to renewable energy, waste management, and green manufacturing. Teams displayed their prototypes, made research paper presentations, and underwent expert judging all day long.

Key Highlights

1. ASME Partnership: International standards are brought to engineering students in India
2. Prize Structure: Winning teams receive a total cash prize of ₹60,000
3. Open Participation: Colleges from all over the country participate with their best mechanical engineering students
4. Industry Relevance: Solutions are designed for real-world problems in the EV and clean energy industries

Additionally, winners of previous ASME EFX competitions have received placements in companies offering ₹10-18 lakh per annum packages. Thus, LPU students who will  win in this can also envision pocketing a good package or opportunity.

RV Institute of Management (RVIM) in Jayanagar announces "Igniting Growth: The 2026 Economic Engine", inter-collegiate competition where students will analyse sector-wise Union Budget 2026. Presented by Centre for Financial Markets and Research, this event brings together young minds to debate on the policy directions and shape India's economic future through smart presentations and debates.

The competition is taking place on February 10, 2026 (Tuesday) from 10:00 AM, RV Institute of Management, 4th T Block, Jayanagar, Bengaluru.
