Starex University School of Law Conducts Legal Awareness Drive in Binola Village and Anti-Ragging Programme on Campus

The School of Law at Starex University on 3 September 2026 organised a Nukkad Natak in Binola village to raise awareness about labour laws and workers’ rights among community members.

The natak was done to explain legal rights and key provisions of labour laws in a simple, engaging way that could make an accessible format. The initiative focused on helping people understand their rights in the workplace and become more familiar with the legal protections available to them.

Nukkad Natak Highlights Labour Laws and Workers’ Rights

In the street show, the School of Law spoke about labour law and workers’ rights. Because of this format, many people found the topic less hard to follow. It also helped them pay more attention to what protections they have.

This effort showed that schools can teach beyond the classroom. It can also build legal understanding in the local area. By sharing legal points in the community itself, the School of Law linked its coursework with real life concerns that people face every day.

Anti-Ragging Awareness Programme Held on Campus

Later, the School of Law ran an Anti-Ragging Awareness Programme at 2:30 PM. It took place in front of the Administrative Block at Starex University. The session covered the Anti-Ragging Act and what it says. Students were reminded to keep the campus safe and welcoming. The talk also made clear how serious ragging is. It urged students to choose respect, take responsibility, and look out for one another.

Two programmes were held in different areas to help people learn about the law. In the village, the team went over labour rules. They also explained what employees may ask for. On campus, the sessions covered anti ragging rules. The team then discussed how to keep study areas safe.

Overall, the activities made it clear what people should know about their rights and duties in day to day life. They also showed the School of Law doing work outside of classroom teaching.

Starex University says that knowing the facts is the first step toward real power. Reflecting on this belief, the nukkad natak was a remarkable initiative.
