Around 200 students from Parul University took part in a clean-up event around Waghodia. This was part of the university’s 80th Independence Day celebrations. The goal was to make the local area tidier and assist students become more accountable for their community and public spaces.

During this drive, the students picked up more than eight truckloads of trash. This helped make the surroundings much cleaner. It also showed how organized student efforts can effectively tackle local cleanliness problems. This effort gave students a chance, an opportunity, an opening, a possibility, and a means to work on a real issue in their community. With support from Parul University, the students came together to improve their local area and give back to the people living there.

The cleanliness drive added a community-focused part to the university’s Independence Day events. Instead of only remembering India’s freedom, the initiative pushed students to link the idea of independence with a duty toward their country, communities, and shared spaces.

Having nearly 200 students involved also pointed out how schools and colleges can get young people to help society outside of class. This event showed that celebrating Independence Day can mean taking real steps toward building a cleaner and more responsible India for those who come after us.
