Ms. Radhika Bhandari, Vice President, Indus University and Director, Western India Institute of Aeronautics (WIIA) participated as a panelist in Drone & Space Technology Summit 2026 at Narayani Heights, Ahmedabad in a fireside chat titled “Innovation Without Boundaries: Strengthening Industry-Academia Partnerships for India’s Space Economy.”

The focus of the discussion was on the importance of increased collaboration between academia, industry, research institutions, government and startups to foster innovation and drive the development of India's space economy.

As the representative of Indus University, Bhandari presented the vision of the university to build a robust space and aviation education ecosystem with a multidisciplinary approach to learning, industry-integrated curricula, research collaborations and startup incubation.

She also pointed out the importance of Indus University and WIIA in enhancing the aviation and aerospace education and training of students in the emerging space sector.

The summit was attended by both academicians and industry leaders who shared their perspectives on the changing NewSpace ecosystem and the need for greater industry-academic collaboration to foster innovation.

Justice Dipak Misra, the former Chief Justice of India and 45th Chief Justice of India, was invited to address the students of the School of Law at Bennett University as part of the student induction programme UGC-Deeksharambh 2026.

In his address to the freshers of the law school, Justice Misra urged them to take up legal education with dedication, discipline, sincerity and intellectual curiosity. He told students that they should consider themselves as “servers of the cause of justice” and be aware of the duties of a lawyer.

During his interaction with the students, Justice Misra stressed that legal education should go beyond simply acquiring information. He urged young lawyers to cultivate a “sense of law” that would enable them to question, reason, analyse complex issues and find meaningful solutions.

He also emphasized the need for students to learn continuously, think critically, conduct research, innovate and provide legal assistance and accurate legal writing for future legal careers.

His talk offered students advice on acquiring the knowledge and values needed for the practice of law, the university said. Justice Misra also appealed to the newly inducted law students to stay true to the constitutional values of justice, liberty, equality and fraternity.

He also emphasised continuous learning, critical thinking, research, innovation, legal aid and precise legal writing as important aspects of legal education.

The interaction was part of the induction programme of the university to assist new law students to start their academic journey with a greater awareness of the responsibilities of legal education and practice.

The session was a new beginning of the academic journey for the new batch of law students and provided them with a platform to get first-hand information about legal education, constitutional values and the duties of the legal profession from the mouth of a former Chief Justice of India.

Emphasising the importance of maternal and child health, Bora Institute of Allied Health Sciences observed World Breastfeeding Week 2026 through a student-led awareness campaign organised by the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology (OBG). Reinforcing its commitment to environmental sustainability and social responsibility, Shimla University (APG) successfully organised the "Har Ped Himachal Ka Abhiman – Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam" Plantation Drive along with a Poster Making Competition on environmental conservation.
