Aman Singh and Anusha Khan, two students at Sharda University in Greater Noida, have collaborated on an invention that has the potential to revolutionise digital interaction in the future. The virtual human is called AVA, and it talks and looks like a person, and it reacts in real-time and makes conversations feel natural and engaging.

Aman Singh, a Computer Science student at Sharda University, shared that the project was carried out under the expert guidance of Ankit Khare, head of the open-source NCR community. After months of dedicated research and development, AVA was successfully brought to life.

How Does AVA Work?

AVA is created on the basis of artificial intelligence and 3D animation technologies. It does more than just answer questions, but it smiles, changes facial expressions, has a human-like voice, and comprehends what a user can say and reply to it. Due to this, the dialogue with AVA is very real, like talking to a human being.

Wide-ranging Applications

The technology behind AVA is designed for diverse uses such as virtual guides, online tutors, helpdesk agents, and digital assistants. Digital humans like AVA are poised to play a significant role in education, customer service, online training, and virtual support systems in the coming years.

Research and Development

According to Aman and Anusha, they intended to make a digital human capable of providing a real experience in teaching, sharing information and providing aid. They have researched facial expressions, natural ways of discussing, and human ways of communication and have brought the knowledge and skills into an artificial intelligence model to train AVA to be useful.

Talent of Indian students

The faculty of Sharda University has commended this project stating that it not only demonstrates the efforts and talents of the students but it also indicates that Indian students can acquire new technologies that are advanced.

In the future, digital humans such as AVA can cause major transformations in the education, corporate training, and customer support industries. Aman and Anusha are really pleased with their accomplishment and they think that virtual humans such as AVA will become very significant in helping people do their daily chores easily.

Kaveri University recently organised a special training session on CPR, or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation, for its first-year B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture students as part of the Deeksharambh Induction Programme.

Dr. Asha Shree is the Chief Medical Officer who explained why CPR is very important to learn for everyone. She passed on simple but valuable information about how this skill can save lives in case of emergencies.

Later on, there were practical demonstrations by Ms. Ankitha, a qualified Emergency Medical Technician and certified Basic Life Support trainer. The students then got hands-on and learned how confidently to perform CPR when needed.

Kaveri University believes in teaching lifesaving skills to all students, which is a part of regular training at the university to take care of the well-being of students and to train them to help others in society. This initiative also supports the vision of building a strong and healthy Viksit Bharat.

Students of the Silver Oak Institute of Design (SOID) of Silver Oak University, in an exhibit of sustainable fashion, eco-friendly design, and next-gen creativity, took centre stage at the Aavishkar Project Fair with their immersive visual merchandising setup of their project, Oceana: Threads of Hope.

About The Collection

The original collection, which is the idea of Ms. Sakshi Agarwal under her brand Desi Decode, is a tribute to the beauty of the ocean flora and fauna and, at the same time, raises awareness about the protection of the marine ecosystem. The collection is inspired by the coral reefs, ocean waves, sea creatures and underwater ecosystems using eco-friendly materials, ocean colour palette, and coral textures, blending handcrafted techniques which includes a combination of art and environmental sustainability.

Nature-Inspired and Environmentally-friendly Craftsmanship

Oceana: Threads of Hope is a poetic legend of perfect unity between the world and nature. The clothes are adorned with hand embroidery, fine appliques and handwoven Kala cotton, and transfer the rhythm of the sky and sea and the earth into clothes. The line advocates eco-friendly style, calling upon the new generation to not sacrifice style to buy ethically and environmentally-friendly clothing

Students Build a sustainable, Immersive VM Environment

In order to make this eco-friendly design come alive, SOID design students, namely Nirva Bagsariya, Ansari Sahira, Moksha Porwal and Kaushik Kumar, designed an immersive visual merchandising installation that made visitors stop, watch and participate.

The setup used:

  • Reused and recycled materials.
  • Forms and textures that have marine inspirations.
  • Soothening subaquatic aesthetics.
  • Eco-friendly spatial narration.

This experiential visual merchandising setup made the space look like an underwater world to provide the visitors with a more insightful view of the message behind the collection of sustainable design, marine protection, and responsible fashion decisions.

Mentorship and Recognition

The students were mentored extensively by both Mr. Ritesh Singh, the Dean of SOID and Mr. Sanjay Kumar, the Faculty Mentor, in terms of their clarity in concept, craftsmanship, innovation, and design-driven sustainability. Their work is one of the brightest examples of the way young designers can make a difference in the environment with careful visual merchandising.

A Collection That is Attracting Appreciation

Having been presented at the TIMES Fashion Week previously, Oceana: Threads of Hope is still a subject of discussions on:

  • Eco-friendly fashion
  • Ocean-inspired design
  • Sustainable textiles
  • Responsible and ethical design.

All-in-all, Silver Oak Institute of Design is dedicated to train creative genius designers with a purpose- to equip a generation of designers who will design the future, for the planet, and meaningful change.
