CU, also known as Chandigarh University,  recently hosted the exciting Grand Finale of AIORI-2 which is  the second edition of the Advanced Internet Operations Research in India initiative. This Hackathon 2025 event proved to be a colorful event in which young minds, who are most creative, attended to bring their ideas into a tangible prototype and address real problems in the world using their creativity and technological skills.

The hackathon acted like a magnet attracting a good number of participation from students across disciplines who represented a generation driven by technology and purposeful innovation. The participants, during the competition used  their logic, demonstrated teamwork, and problem-solving skills to tackle pressing issues in internet operations and emerging technologies.

As per the latest post by CU, events like AIORI-2 form an important part of Chandigarh University’s learning environment. The university strongly emphasizes practical exploration beyond the traditional classroom setup, fostering an innovative spirit among students. “Every edition adds to a culture where students learn to lead with skill, clarity and imagination,” the post said.  

The AIORI program is aimed at providing the future generation of experts and scientists with practical experience in internet engineering, standards formulation and advanced areas of research. Industry experts and dignitaries were also in attendance during the hackathon who were giving insights and guidance on how to get the participants motivated.

As part of the Centre of Outreach and Digital Education (IITM CODE) project, Mewar University has signed a major Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IITM). This partnership, announced on November 8, 2025, creates an IITM CODE Chapter at Mewar University, which is believed to reinforce academic partnerships, develop digital learning infrastructure, and increase student employability.

This strategic collaboration will ensure that students and faculty in the Mewar University get access to the prestigious online and blended courses in IIT Madras exclusively. They are IITM Diploma and Bachelor of Science degree courses, SWAYAM-NPTEL certification courses, faculty development courses, and other online learning programmes enabled by the IITM CODE programme. 

The IITM CODE Chapter at Mewar University will facilitate several key activities:

  • Enable participation of students and faculty members in IIT Madras’ diploma and certificate programs.
  • Conduct collaborative workshops, training sessions, and mentoring initiatives.
  • Strengthen academic-industry linkages through top-tier digital education.
  • Enhance the skill sets and employability of Mewar University’s students via IITM-certified programs.

To streamline this collaboration, Mr. Kapil Nahar from the Faculty of Engineering and Technology at Mewar University has been appointed the Single Point of Contact (SPOC).

In order to simplify this partnership, a single point of contact (SPOC) has been brought in, and the identified person is Mr. Kapil Nahar, who occupies a position with Mewar University as the Faculty of Engineering and Technology.

This partnership is much in line with those directions provided by the National Education Policy (NEP 2020), which focuses on academic cooperation and encourages digital inclusiveness in higher education institutions. Mewar University owed its debts of gratitude to Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Dr. Alok Misra and the university management who had remained unwavering in the support of such effective academic initiatives.

The MoU with IIT Madras is a milestone to Mewar University as it helps the university to advance its scope to offer the latest and industry relevant training programmes which help the students to be proficient in the international labour market.

Mewar University recently conducted a successful Value Added Course titled “Foodpreneurship – From Idea to Start-Up,” held from October 6 to 13, 2025. The week-long program aimed to empower students to turn their innovative food ideas into entrepreneurial ventures by providing practical knowledge and skill-building opportunities.

Throughout the course, students demonstrated their creativity and business potential by presenting impressive food start-up pitches, showcasing their readiness to enter the growing food entrepreneurship sector. These projects reflected the university’s focus on hands-on learning and fostering an entrepreneurial mindset among its students.

The event concluded with a certificate distribution ceremony, honored by the presence of Dr. Deepak Vyas, Dean of Academics, and Dr. Sadhna, Dean of Management, who congratulated participants on their dedication and achievements.

Marking National Education Day 2025, The Neotia University (TNU) organized a two-day workshop on “E-Waste Management and Sustainable Practices,” reaffirming its commitment to promoting environmental responsibility and sustainability. The event was conducted by the Department of Basic Sciences under the School of Science and Technology.

The workshop aimed to educate students about the importance of sustainable living, waste reduction, and responsible technology use. On November 4, 2025, Indrashil University, Ahmedabad, received the prestigious Pride of North Gujarat Award. On November 7, 2025, the Department of Environmental Sciences at Sister Nivedita University conducted a practical workshop, The Living Environment: Terrariums and Sustainability. The activity involved the students in the development of miniature terrariums, which was an effective way of learning about ecological balance and sustainability in an informal way.

Mr. Bikash Maiti, Founder and Director of Thriving miniature conservation pvt. ltd., and Dr. Supriti Paul, assistant professor in the Department of chemistry, Bethune College, Kolkata, were the experts who conducted the workshop. Their instructions enabled students to discover the notion of environmental consciousness and responsible management using the art and science of terrariums.

This project is meant to show the effort of Sister Nivedita University to create environmental awareness in the minds of its students in addition to academic education. The Department will help to engage in interactive experiences and bring expert knowledge to inspire the practice of sustainability and greater understanding of the fragile ecosystems of nature.
