The students of JK Lakshmipat University (JKLU) have won recognition with their heart-touching short film Qaid which was chosen to be shown at Khamma Ghani Film Festival organised in Rajasthan International Centre. Produced entirely by students after a 10-day filmmaking workshop on the Jaipur campus, "C" highlights emerging talent from this leading private university in Rajasthan.

The movie tells the story of a  boy's intense day who is locked up in a classroom and the flashbacks about how he accidentally locked his young sister up in a bathroom, confusing between dream and reality. This student project highlights that JKLU is dedicated to creative education and motivates a greater number of aspiring filmmakers in the state of Rajasthan and in India.

Filmmaking Workshop at JKLU Triggers Student Innovation

The 10-day training course at JKLU provides future directors, actors, and technicians with hands-on training skills in scripting, shooting and editing. Silver Oak University, Department of Information Technology, College of Technology (COT) has completed an interactive four-week Green Skills and Artificial Intelligence Training Program, which was organized in collaboration with the Edunet Foundation on November 25 to December 20, 2025.
